How can i take care of my foot/ankle tattoo?
Three days ago i got a scorpion on the side of my foot that wraps around my ankle. When i got it i only had boots so i wore those. I have been wearing socks, boots, and booties ever since. It has also been severely swollen like i have a giant foot! I heard people say that you are not supposed to shower or bathe with them for long periods of time. Was wearing boots the wrong idea? And how can i take care of it? I use A&D ointment twice a day by the way. . .

You should definitely not be wearing enclosed shoes. Stop wearing shoes asap before it is properly scabbed. The tattoo is a wound and it needs to breathe. It is probably swollen because you sock is aggrivating it.
It is okay to get it wet in the shower, even to give it a gentle wash over with water (no soap or shower gel) and pat it dry carefully with a clean towel. After day 1 or 2 you should be using some unscented lotion to keep it moisturised. You know you can buy cream specialised for tattoos (ie, Protat, Tattoo Goo etc).
Do not scratch or pick the scabs/peeling in any way, because if those scabs come off before they are ready, they’ll pull out bits of the ink with them and you’ll end up with a patchy tattoo. Cream should be applied twice daily for about 2 weeks, then maybe once daily for a while after that. Then after about a month just your regular body moisturising routine will be fine. Remember that your tattoo needs to be protected from the sun, so no sun until she’s fully healed, then ample sunscreen after that.
P.S. Your artist should have given you a care sheet, give them a kick in the butt for that.
