Pros And Cons Of Tattoos
The popularity of tattoos has reached an all-time high. Men and women are sporting tattoos which tell something to the world as to who they are, and what they believe in. Some are covering their entire bodies with tattoo designs, while some are using it as a small insignia. Since there is tremendous flexibility in terms of size of the tattoo, it is actually up to you, what you want to sport.
There are good sides and bad sides to nearly everything in life. Tattoos are no exception. Tattoos used for symbolic significance as well as a pure design element on your body give you a chance to stand out in a crowd, it gives you a unique identity and tells the world that you have arrived; most people however, tend to regret their decision in later years, once they have left their youth behind.
Tattoos really make you in a class of your own, especially if the design holds a significant meaning. The variety of colors, sizes, shapes and designs definitely add up to the positive side of tattoos. You can access innumerable designs if you do a search of magazines, journals, libraries or the internet, which is one of the biggest resources for tattoo designs. People who already have had a tattoo done on their bodies can also give you a fair idea about how a design will ultimately look under your skin.
The flip side of tattoos is fairly easy to comprehend. The process of tattooing involves piercing your skin with multiple needles. Excessive bleeding, infection are risks which the process entails. This risk increases multiple, if the parlor and the tattoo artist use equipment which are not sanitized properly and the environment is a breeding ground for bacteria.
Another big tumbling block which goes against tattooing is the entire process of removal, if for some reason you decide to do away with it. It is not only an expensive and painful process, the results all depends on the colours used within the tattoo design.
As you can see, tattooing is not without its pros and cons. Thus, before you decide to go for tattoo, never rush through the decision, simply because it is the most ‘happening’ thing done by your friends. Take a hard look at all the designs and imagine carrying it for the rest of your life. In case you have the slightest doubt or apprehension, it is far better to stay away from it rather than repent it in later years, as well as go through the more expensive process of removing the tattoo.
