FAQ
Got a question not answered here? Click on the little chat doohickey down below and ask away! One of us will get to you as soon as we can.
Do you do piercings?
Eventually, we will—but for right now, we're only offering tattoos.
If you are a great piercer, and member of the APP, please reach out and ask about a position!
What forms of payment do you take?
We take cash, credit cards, and debit cards. Cards include a 3% processing fee, so if you want to save a little, cash is king.
If you want to trade, Venmo, Cash App, and so on, you'll have to negotiate that with your artist.
Do you take walk-ins?
We specialize in custom work, but are happy to take walk-ins when we have the time. However, if we're booked out, you may have driven over for nothing.
It's always a good idea to set up an appointment ahead of time.
Do you tattoo faces, hands, etc.?
These decisions depend on the ethics of the individual artist and the tattoo experience of the client.
If you want work done in taboo areas, you'll have to discuss this with your artist.
Do you tattoo minors?
No, we only tattoo people over the age of 18.
How do you price your tattoos?
We have a $150 minimum and generally bill $200 per hour. Walk-in or smaller pieces are priced by the piece and will depend on their size, placement, and complexity.
Some tattoos (in high-stakes or difficult areas, for example) have higher minimums.
Are you running a <blank> special?
We don't participate in any blitz-style tattoo specials (ie: $13 tattoos on Friday the 13th, $20 flash sales, etc). Shop promotions are always centered on outreach and charity.
However, our tattooologists may reach out to their followers with reduced rates for styles or techniques they'd like to explore or post wanna-dos on their social media pages that may be priced lower than usual.
Can I use numbing cream?
Do not use any numbing creams before your tattoo. Many of them cause skin reactions, making tattooing unworkable.
We offer a numbing treatment in-house, using a product we find trustworthy—it provides about 3 hours of relief.
We charge $100 for it and need to apply it an hour before your tattoo begins. Be sure to discuss this with your tattooologist while scheduling.
Are you looking for an apprentice?
We have two apprentices, so we are obligated to them for the time being.
If you'd like us to take a look at your portfolio and point you in the right direction, come on in. If we're not busy, we're happy to talk.
Or: schedule a tattoo and you'll have our undivided attention when we do it!
