About Me
My background is in COMIC BOOK ART; I spent most of my youth drawing superheroes instead of doing my algebra homework. I was publishing comics by age 18.
I ended up at Ball State and apprenticed in the village tattoo shop, The Ouch! Gallery, in the early 90s. I've been striving ever since to be one of the best tattoo artists in Indiana.
I'm fascinated by the transformative power of tattooing. I love the journey of developing a concept into a design that expresses the client as a new being. The artist and the canvas take that trip together.
I've worked with some of the best tattoo portrait artists in the industry and am a graduate of Josh Carlton’s seminars. I specialize in COLOR and BLACK AND GRAY REALISM. I especially love ANIMAL PORTRAITS and FLORAL TATTOOS.
I have come to enjoy the gestural effects of WATERCOLOR TATTOOS. I have developed from this my own painterly approach called “ORC STYLE.” It emphasizes the flow of the body’s anatomy and the use of shock value in placement and scale.
